Lansett Consulting is a practically-minded consultancy, offering a full suite of ‘concept to completion’ acoustic, noise, and vibration control services in support of all types of developments including; residential, education, healthcare, leisure, offices, prisons, court, infrastructure, industry, entertainment and power generation.

All our consultants have robust experience of the ‘Round Robin’ process within the building industry and have worked with small and large scale developers alike providing required service at all stages of the projects as detailed below.

Planning

• Provide guidance and advice to developers about the planning process, including requirements for noise and vibration surveys, and recommendations on facade construction as necessary.
• Liaison with the Environmental Health Department of Local Authorities.
• Addressing any site specific planning condition and provision of a noise and vibration report in support of planning applications.

Design Stage

• Review of building envelope to ensure proposals for walls, roof, glazing and ventilation are adequate.
• Develop vibration isolation/control as required.
• Develop detailed design to achieve additional sound insulation to a required standard.
• Advice on reverberation control in common areas.
• Value engineering of designs to ensure optimum performance is achieved cost effectively.

Completion Sound Insulation Testing

• On-site sound insulation testing undertaken to ISO 140-4 (Airborne) & ISO 140-7 (Impact).
• Certificates under ISO to satisfy building control requirement and ensure project sign off.
